"Discover Your Nature" Mural

California muralist, Leah Tummerman, completes a 1,400 square foot mural this week in Henderson, Kentucky. The nature themed work of art is painted on the exterior wall of a two story on Second Street in the heart of downtown Henderson. Tummerman said, “I wanted to portray a piece that sort of captured the poetry and essence of that — both people engaging with each other and engaging with the natural world.”

Tummerman enlisted the help of local artists, community members, and high school art students to assist in the mural painting. Local artist, and Marketing Director for the Henderson Tourist Commission, Maddy Fritz assisted for approximately 100 hours towards the project completion. Fritz commented, “I’m so glad I’m able to be a part of this amazing project, and I plan to help continue the trend that Leah has started fr our town.”
